Raymond Buckner’s Picks: Joel Embiid and the 76ers will make the NBA Finals

With that being said, I believe Joel Embiid, James Harding, Tobias Harris, P.J. Tucker, DeAndre Melton, Tyrese Maxey, Matisse Thybulle, Montrezl Harrell, Shake Milton, George Niang, Danuel House Jr., Paul Reed, Furkan Korkmaz, with the GREAT Doc Rivers at the helm, will make the 2022-2023 NBA Finals. 

GM Elton Brand will make the right moves leading up to the upcoming trade deadline. The Philadelphia 76ers will go into the playoffs with a chip on their shoulders that will carry them to the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Joel Embiid has had another stellar season that goes right with the previous two production seasons. Embiid has been under the watchful eye of the GREAT coaching of Doc Rivers. The 76ers have a roster of great to good enough players that know their roles and trust their coaches. The path to the trophy will most likely not go through Philadelphia. However, a determined group of men who have their eyes on the prize will be hard to beat in a 48-minute contest.

The Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, and Brooklyn Nets will pose threats to the 76ers goal of a championship. However, Joel Embiid will bring the 76ers through the Eastern Conference and a date with the Denver Nuggets, and we saw what they did Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center to Joker and the Denver Nuggets with a 126-119 win. Embiid had another great game with 47 points, 18 rebounds, and five assists. Therefore, I believe Embiid got the attention of the reigning MVP and the rest of the league.
